Biography

Wang Ximei: The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, MD, Professor, Chief Physician. In 2004, she was a senior visiting scholar in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Oslo University Hospital, Norway, and obtained a joint-training doctoral degree. In 2009, she was invited as a visiting professor to the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Virginia Medical Center, USA, for a one-year exchange visit, focusing on highly complex procedures such as craniomaxillofacial deformity repair. In 2010, she visited the University of Düsseldorf, Germany; in 2011, the Plastic and Aesthetic Center of Fukuoka University Hospital, Japan; and during 2012—2019, she conducted exchange visits in Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, and other countries. She has also conducted in-depth research on the timing and surgical methods of breast reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer and has summarized surgical methods more suitable for Chinese patients. She received the Outstanding Overseas Personnel Award from the Henan Provincial Department of Health and the 2018 Outstanding Physician Award from the Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association.

Three-dimensional bionic facial lifting. Repair of traumatic and congenital nasal deformities. Systematic research on tissue expander treatment for large-area cicatricial alopecia. Facial tumor and aesthetic surgeries (double eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, breast plastic surgery, rhytidectomy, etc.) are performed under a microscope or magnifying loupe, advocating meticulous procedures with minimal trauma. Introduction of Japanese techniques for axillary osmidrosis treatment, achieving high efficacy with nearly scarless results. Proposal of the concept of comprehensive multimodal treatment for skin cancer.
